a hitch
So the photo a day exercise went a bit wonky while I was in Boston, mostly because I FORGOT MY CAMERA all the time! I could have gotten photos of ghouls and gravestones in Boston (really cool photos) but NO, I forgot the camera. I could have gotten a photo of my mom and I going out at a super fancy restaurant, BUT NO, I forgot the camera. I did take a couple of not very good photos while there and I am trying to be more disciplined about taking the camera with me places. It has a belt loop on the camera case but I can't bring myself to be quite so dorky as to wear the camera on my belt, although that may be my punishment if I keep forgetting to bring the camera places. So, here are a few photos, not as many photos as days, but some interesting ones nonetheless.

Baby Crawls!
We were afraid that she was going to be just a roller or worse a scooter. Scooting around like a dog with an itchy butt. But Renee has delightfully surprised us with her new skill, crawling. She started out going backward or bass ackwards as we say in England. Now she crawls forward sometimes like a marine at bootcamp. She now can attack any object she desires. Film at eleven.

view
view from our hotel window. it's cooold here. today on my photographic journey i learned that my mom's camera is better than mine! how can this be? she took a photo of the same night scene and hers came out much better. I fiddled with my camera for half an hour to try to prove that my camera was just as good to no avail.
i miss my baby.

da easter bunny!
i am leaving for boston tomorrow morning and leaving my sweet bunny behind. i am very worried that when i come back in one week she will have forgotten about me. i am in a not-so-secret competition for her affection and i don't want her to prefer her daddy over me. i guess i will have to get used to the to and fro. as long as she lets me hold her when i get back.
on the bright side, i plan to do lots of fun stuff in boston with my mom. i am going for work but i plan to squeeze in plenty of shopping and dinners and lots of grown up things that i haven't done in a while. long leisurely dinners. whole days shopping.

bedtime routine
i seem to forget to take photos until it's time for bed. i am beginning to worry already that i won't be able to find enough interesting things to take photos of...tonight, i'm afraid, it's the back door of our house. the back door that must be checked before bed, the back door that helps us get a good night's sleep. i think i have a new found appreciation for the back door. um...right, i will start remembering to take more photos of the babe : ) night, everyone. thanks, back door.

photo a day
I am taking the photo a day challenge! A number of people have done this sort of photo project. It's supposed to make you a better photographer, mostly because you use your camera more often. Of course, it also serves as a kind of photo diary. I am on my second day and I am already learning a lot about my camera and what it can do. So far so good : ) Now, if I can just keep up with it. Here's my photo for today (with such a good subject it shouldn't be too difficult : )
