a new bum / hat

I knitted Renee a hat from the Stitch n' Bitch book. It's the umbilical cord hat. I think she likes it. Of course, she has to love it since her mommy knitted it special for her. I think the orange and red background of her chair affects its appearance but Renee didn't want to get up : )

I had one of those life-slapping moments while I was knitting this hat though. A life-slapping moment is when you stop for a moment and say---'how did I get here? not sure if this is good or bad...' Now, this moment had little to do with Renee. I blame Charles because its his fault I found myself with my bum on the couch, eating fudge and knitting. AHHHHH! If that's not a recipe for disaster, I don't know what is. And he's the one that bought the fudge and I don't even like fudge, its not that good really. Without the fudge I wouldn't have had an unpleasant moment where my life flashed before me and starred a really fat bum. What else are you gonna get if you spend your days knitting and eating fudge?

Nice work on the hat. She's going to be so stylish at the next play group. And don't feel bad about the fudge. At least your husband hasn't caught you with your entire head in the bag of potato chips while you were laying on the couch!

I love the hat. From your description, you're leading a most delightful life. Knitting, husband, fudge, baby, comfy sitting area. Yes, it's a good life.

I love fudge and am amazed that you have the time (or free space) to knit. My projects just get terrorized by Benjamin and if I even think about partaking in an activity that he can't help with or takes even the slightest bit of attention off of him, he doesn't hesitate to let me know! He is "C.P.ed" completely (s)poiled!
