"Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand."

Now I'm the one moved to tears. Your daughter will be a jewel in your crown of life, just as you and your sisters are the jewels in mine.
I hereby declare: Princess Gloria has a jewel in her crown.
I'm so happy for you, Princess Gloria. You are Princess Gloria, Queen of Renee's world.
I look forward to messy stuff. I'm getting some more mess-making instructional books.
How do you remember the Three Billygoats Gruff story?
And here are three kisses and hugs for you, Renee, and Charles to share. I hope your Saturday is going along in quiet comfort. Gotta get your little sister moved to her house. Keep squeezing Renee tight so that you can keep her little. Letting her leave you is the hardest part. XOXOXO
I remember that Make and Do book! That was my favorite in that whole collection. And I remember the billy goat story. Which is why seeing Cat's Eye with the little troll when I was eight left a scar in my brain. Little kid's story stuff is kind of cryptic. I heard the ring around the rosy is about people dying of the black plague!!
