sweet, sweet babies

babies, babies, babies, what did I do before baby? Well, I am about to find out as I am really, really going back go work now. I know I have been talking about it for awhile, I am slow to adjust. I did, in fact, go yesterday, and today, and I will go again tomorrow. Now that I am the one going to work and Charles is the one staying home with Renee I feel a tinge of guilt mixed with a bit of jealousy. Yuck. I wonder...Will she love me less? Will Charles become her most favorite? These are my secret worries. It's a cliché, a boring, meaningless cliché, until you are living the cliché: they grow up so fast, little babies, but don't take my word for it I'll give you some photographic evidence.

2 weeks, little tiny-------------------------- 23 weeks, little piglet

2-3 weeks, skinny n' grouchy---------- 23 weeks, fat n' happy

and she has teeth, two of them, now, can u c them??...she can bite

and with teeth she can eat, which is something she loves to do...bananas, baby rice, carrots, sweet potato, yum.yum. (yes, our house is messy, don't notice this)

She is getting so big!!! I love her little bulging tummy and her long legs. What a chubstress! I can't wait to see her and you and Charles. I'm proud of you for going back to work, and I understand you feeling guilty and jealous. She will definitely NOT love you less! You are her momma, and no matter how wonderful her daddy is, he's no mommy. Tom stays home with Laila while Shahin works, but he just makes her ornery. Then Shahin comes home and Laila just beams up at her. Renee is just a bundle of love, and you're such a good mommy she'll have plenty of love to dump on you when you get home. So will Charles!

This is a message from the lady holding that sweet, tiny, brand-new Renee. I cannot believe she has blossomed into such a bodacious beauty. She must feel so good in your arms. You have my complete understanding and sympathy regarding the Empty Arms Syndrome brought on by going back to work. It's, well, empty. I was always jealous of my babysitters and even thought they should PAY ME to get to stay with my child all day. I wish I could stay home with Renee. Kisses and lovings and hugs to each of you. I can't wait for my trip to Cincinnati on December 15th. Question: What does "babies" mean? hmmm...

I cannot believe how BIG she is. I swear she is bigger than Ben. I just want to squeeze those legs and take bites of her. I cannot wait any longer...COME BACK NOW!! I too understand your "empty arms" Although I haven't started even looking for a day job yet, it is my intention to put my recent scholastic experiences into practice at the beginning of 2008. Therefore, I have been researching childcare options and it does something to my heart every time even think about it. I commend Charles for being such a wonderful dad. Not many men are so secure with themselves to not be the "breadwinner". Renee is so lucky. You are all so lucky. I cannot wait to see you guys and get Renee and Ben together. Her little teeth are so cute...I bet she can bite really hard!

Ben can at least walk : ) and, from what I hear may even be able to defend himself if necessary ; ) So don't worry too much. Some mom's I know say their kid absolutely loves day care. Of course they cried the first time they left their babies but everyone adjusted quickly. I am sure you will find something that works out best for your situation. It is a lot of work though, isn't it!??

Hi Shan. I love you. Enjoy your work and enjoy your time at home. They are both good. How's that for advice. Sorry life comes with all those dimemas. Renee looks so cute. Can't wait to hold her.

Don't worry. Even though you'll be away from her during the day she'll know very well who her mama is (and still love you best). It's wonderful too when their little faces light up when they see you again. She just gets cuter and cuter as she gets bigger! I can't believe she already has two teeth.
